Training Empowerment | MTN All-staff Training, Building a Smooth and Efficient Workplace

Before the training officially started, all employees arrived on time, signed in and took their seats in order.

For this training, MTN specially invited renowned psychology expert Lu Hanwen to deliver the on-site lecture. Having years of experience in psychology and workplace communication, Mr. Lu excels at analyzing problems with real workplace cases that closely match our daily work scenarios.

At the beginning of the course, Mr. Lu raised a workplace-related question to trigger everyone’s thinking: What communication difficulties have you encountered in daily work? The question quickly aroused enthusiasm. Employees shared their personal work experience, and the two most common and troubling problems were cross-departmental communication and reporting to superiors.
Based on years of practical experience, Mr. Lu analyzed the root causes of these two communication problems. He pointed out easily overlooked misunderstandings in daily communication and offered easy-to-follow solutions to break through communication barriers at work. All participants gained valuable insights.

After the Q&A session, focusing on the core of workplace communication, Mr. Lu elaborated on three key capabilities: listening, questioning and speaking, helping employees build a complete workplace communication system.

Listening: Grasp Requirements and Avoid Ineffective Communication
Most work errors and coordination mistakes result from poor listening rather than poor speaking. Workplace listening is not merely passive hearing. Instead, you need to actively capture key information and understand the other party’s real demands and implied meanings. Only by listening accurately can you prevent misunderstandings and repeated rework from the source and greatly cut down ineffective communication.
Questioning: Fill Information Gaps and Eliminate Information Bias
Many problems of information asymmetry and unclear requirements at work can be solved through effective questioning. Proper questioning can quickly plug communication loopholes, clarify job requirements, avoid blind execution, and make work coordination more accurate and efficient.
Expression: Organize Logic and Convey Information Efficiently
Clear and structured expression is essential for work reports, requirement coordination and daily communication. Mr. Lu shared simple and practical speaking skills to help colleagues and leaders quickly grasp key points and improve communication efficiency.
To help everyone apply what they have learned and turn theoretical knowledge into practical capabilities, a group exercise focusing on listening skills was arranged at the end of the course. Participants were divided into groups of three to simulate real workplace communication scenarios and practice listening, receiving information and giving feedback. Through interactive drills, everyone clearly identified their communication shortcomings, consolidated newly learned skills, learned from each other and made progress together.

Learning Empowers Progress Toward MTN’s New Development
Communication lays the foundation for collaboration and serves as the core driving force for team growth. This special training on effective communication organized by MTN was closely connected to real work, packed with practical know-how and highly operable. It helped all staff resolve communication obstacles and make up for competency deficiencies.
All MTN employees are expected to apply the communication skills learned to daily work, improve communication proficiency and reduce unnecessary collaboration friction. Let us unite as one, boost team productivity, and advance the steady development of the company.
